Add your Faded-Grandeur treasure to our world map.

We love to hear from our clients, and hear about how lovely that tablecloth they bought from us, looks on the dining table in their home, so we have created this page for you. Show off your vintage treasures to the rest of the world. Take a picture or video and show us how you have used that precious purchase from Faded-Grandeur to enhance your home. Or simply add a picture to the map of the place you call home, your house, your neighbourhood, your town, or a favourite part of the country you live in. Follow the simple instructions below and be on the map in a couple of minutes.

It's simple, three minutes at the most!

The only remotely technical aspect of adding a marker to our map is uploading the photo you wish to use to a web hosting service, which itself is EASY. If you are comfortable with doing that, this will pose no problems to you. If it is not something you are comfortable with, fear not, all is explained below.

It is easier to add your placemarker to the map if you open the map to fullscreen - click on the link 'fullscreen' at the bottom of the lefthand sidebar. A new browser window or tab will open with the map in fullscreen mode. Zoom to your country or region on the map, either by using the slider controls on the left or by double clicking over the area you wish to zoom into.

Click and drag the map to move it left or right and up or down so that your country is centred on the map, double click over a country/region to zoom in. Continue to zoom in and drag the map so that you can distinguish the area you wish to place a marker on. For instance your town or city or even your house itself (if you are happy showing your address to the world, if not, centre the map over the town or state in which you live and drag the marker to the place on the map you want).

Once you are happy with the map. Click on the 'Add Place' link on the top right of the left sidebar, this does two things - it hides all the existing markers on the map, (which allows for easier navigation) and adds a marker to the centre of the map. Drag the marker exactly where you want it, by default it is Red, but we will change that next.

Now the marker is placed where you want it let's fill in the fields on the sidebar.

Now click on the 'complete' button at the top of the sidebar and you have added your marker. It will NOT appear right away, this can take 24hrs - so come back tomorrow to see it, and see who else has joined our world!
